On the river bank of Mandavya, in 8th Century Sri Bhadrakali Sameta Veerabhadra Swamy Temple was constructed during the RajadhiRaja Chola period. Later on, in 11th-century Kakatiya Ganapathi and King Krishnadevaraya look with the renovations of the temple.

The temple can be seen with three major Gopurams, after entering in the main gopuram one can find Dhwajasthambam followed by Nandi statue which can be seen only in Lord Shiva temples. One of the major attractions in this temple is single stone 56 feet Deepasthambham, which is very rarely seen temples of south India.

There are sub-temples here such as Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Lord Kala Bhairava, Lord Bhadrakali and Lord Subramanya. During Shivaratri and Karthika Purnima, a large number of devotees are visiting here to have darshan. The temple is in the town of Rayachoti (old name Rachaveedu) which is 55 km from the Kadapa city on NH 18 highway.

How to reach
One can reach to Kadapa airport by flight and can hire a taxi to Rayachoti which is 60 km by road. The nearest railway station is Cuddapah (HX). APSRTC buses are there for every one hour from morning 5 AM to night 11:30 pm. From Tirupathi also one can reach to Rayachoti, it is hardly 110 km via Pileru route. Bus inquiry can get from here.
