Mallemkondeswara Swamy Temple | Mallemkonda | Sivarathri | Lord Siva Temple

Mallemkonda, is the place famous for Mallemkondeswara swamy (sivaiah). It is located in the Turupukonda reserved forest.  This hills are also base of the Nallamala Hills. This forest is also famous for the Red sandal wood trees. This places comes under Gopavaram mandal of Badvel taluk.

You need to be very bold and energetic to reach this place, because there will be no transport to reach to this place from the hill base. You need to trek the hill for 7kms to reach this place. 

During Shivarathiri festival season people are trekking this hill to have blessing from Lord Siva. 

On the way to this place while on trekking you will see the beautiful spot of backwater's of Somasilla dam from the hill.





 After trekking the hill, you will reach the site area of mallemkonda. For refreshing yourself there are two ponds available with sweet water. If you go further 500mts from the temple you will find. 






How to go:

From Kadapa - 80kms approx (via Bhakrapet, Siddhavatam, Badvel, P.P.Kunta and Bramhanapalle) take Bus to Badvel hardly one and half hour journey. and then hire an auto-rickshaw to mallemkonda. Bus inquiry can get from here.

From Badvel - 20kms approx (via P.P.Kunta, Bramhanapalle and Surveypalle) 
if you are going from badvel hire an auto-rickshaw to go this place.

This temple is open only during Shivarathri and Karthik porunima. While going to this temple first enquiry in Bramhanapalle village whether it is open or not. Plan with safety gears to reach the temple.
